You already have a website. It is slow, it looks dated, or it simply is not bringing in enquiries — and you are not sure whether to patch it or start again. This page is about making that decision properly, and what a redesign costs if you go ahead.

People use the words interchangeably and they should not. A redesign changes how the site looks and reads while keeping the underlying platform. A rebuild replaces the platform underneath as well.
The distinction matters because a redesign cannot fix a technical problem. If the site is slow because it is running a page builder and twenty plugins, a new coat of paint leaves it exactly as slow. You will have spent money and changed nothing that was costing you enquiries.
We quote both the same way, so there is no incentive for us to push you toward the larger job. If a redesign genuinely solves it, we will say so.
Before spending anything, check three things. All three are free and take about ten minutes.
The symptoms worth acting on are set out in more detail in signs your website is losing you customers.
This is the most common reason businesses put off a redesign, and the concern is legitimate. Rankings are lost in redesigns regularly. They are lost for predictable reasons, all of which are avoidable.
We map every existing URL before touching anything, redirect the lot, and re-check indexing in Search Console after launch. It is unglamorous and it is the difference between a redesign that keeps your traffic and one that quietly resets it.
Same published prices as a new build, because the work is comparable — often slightly less, since the content already exists. Up to ten pages is $1,900, unlimited pages $3,500, e-commerce $4,500. All AUD, fixed in writing before anything starts.
Australian agencies typically quote $5,000 to $15,000 for a redesign of the same size. The gap is overhead rather than output, which we break down on the affordable website design page.
Redesigns are harder to commit to than new builds, because you already have something and you are being asked to risk it. So we design your new homepage first, free, using your real content — you compare it directly against what you have now before spending anything. It is a design rather than a working site; the build starts only if you decide to go ahead. Ask from the contact page.
It can, and this is the main reason redesigns go wrong. Rankings drop when URLs change without 301 redirects, when content that was ranking gets cut, or when page titles are rewritten away from what people actually search. Done properly — full URL map, redirects in place, content kept, indexing checked in Search Console afterwards — rankings carry over and usually improve, because the new site is faster.
Ours are published: $1,900 AUD for up to ten pages, $3,500 for unlimited pages, $4,500 for e-commerce. Australian agencies commonly quote $5,000 to $15,000 for the same scope. Redesigns sometimes come in slightly under a new build because the content already exists.
Two to three weeks for up to ten pages, three to four for larger sites. The biggest variable is how quickly you approve the design and supply any new content. Your existing site stays live the whole time — we build on a private staging link and switch over only when you are happy.
Yes, if the problem is genuinely visual. But if the site is slow, insecure or painful to edit, a redesign leaves all of that in place and you will be back in eighteen months. We will tell you honestly which one your situation calls for rather than quoting whichever is larger.
No. Your domain stays yours and email is unaffected — it runs on separate DNS records that we do not touch. The only change is where the website itself is hosted, and that happens in a single switchover once you have approved everything.
Tell us what the business needs to do and we will send back a written scope with a fixed AUD price within one business day.
